Taea joined the family business during the 2008 financial crisis. She takes pride in carefully listening and working with her clients to determine priorities and create roadmaps to reaching long-term financial goals that can weather these inevitable storms. Taea values independent research, continuing education, and leveraging technology for office efficiency.
As the OSJ delegate supervisor holding securities licenses Series 24, 7, and 66, she enjoys in-depth financial planning discussions with her clients and creating tailored risk and asset protection strategies through long term care and annuity solutions. She also maintains Life, Health, Property & Casualty, and Variable Annuity Insurance licenses.
As a fourth-generation member of the family business, Taea carries on the legacy of her great-grandfather Junsuke, grandfather Douglas and father Verne; she worked with Verne for 12 years before he retired in December 2020. Taea strives for excellence when it comes to communication, service, reliability, and strong relationships across generations of clients and their extended families.
Taea grew up in Hawaii and is an alumna of Iolani High School. She currently serves on the board of her elementary alma mater, Montessori Community School. She graduated with honors from Colorado College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Minor in French. Taea loves walking across the street to her parents' house with her husband Grant and their two sons, spending time in their yard together, having family dinners, hiking on quiet trails around the mountain, and going to the beach.
